November 26: Yanjing Beer, the title sponsor of the 2017 CFA Cup, has started its Seed Program for this season in Shanghai Jiading NanYuan School, with the goal of promoting the development of campus football in China.
The launch ceremony was attended by Yanjing Beer President Zhao Xiaodong, Chinese football officers and legends, representatives from the media and about 100 professionals.
The program, launched in 2014, has become an important part of Yanjing’s sponsorship for the CFA Cup. As of now, Yanjing has donated 25,300 footballs to 1,200 schools throughout China.
Starting from 2017, the CFA has decided to upgrade the program with more interactive experiences. For example, the Association will provide children with more opportunities for professional coaching and opportunities to visit the homes of clubs.
Alongside the launch ceremony, a friendly game was also played between the Chinese football legends team and the Under-11 team of Shanghai Jiading Boji FC.
