November 16: The Beijing Football Association (BFA) hosted a conference in Beijing, announcing that the association had officially split from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports (BMBS).

In the future, the BFA will design its new organizational structure and strategies by themselves, as well as self-managing their finances, staff members and international communication.

At the conference, the new executive committee of the BFA was also elected with the BMBS’ Deputy President Yang Haibin becoming the new president of the association. The new BFA will also recruit professionals to serve as directors of their 14 committees.

The BFA members also elected their new deputy-presidents for the association, with Wang Hui, President of Beijing United Vansen International Sports, taking this position. Wang stated that he would leverage Beijing United Vansen’s domestic and overseas resources to support the sport of football in Beijing and around China.

Over the past few years, Beijing United Vansen has dedicated itself to the football industry. In 2014, the company signed a partnership deal with Real Federación Española de Fútbol (Spanish Football Federation). Based on this partnership, on October 1 2017, Beijing United Vansen opened a new international football training center in Guangxi, China.
