November 13: The German Bundesliga giants, VfL Wolfsburg, has announced an official partnership with China-based Beijing Sport University (BSU).
Under the terms of their partnership, starting from the year 2018, the two sides will work closely together in fostering outstanding young players.
The Wolves are expected to introduce three experts, including the technical director for the Chinese Football College of BSU and two coaches for the university men’s and women’s teams. The German club will also provide support in terms of training models and coaches.
Under the guidance of the Chinese Football Association, BSU has created its football club in Qinhuangdao of Hebei Province, aiming to enter the Chinese Super League. As of now, the university has selected 300 players throughout China.
In March, VfL Wolfsburg opened an official office in the Audi China Management Center of Beijing with the intent to attain a greater inter-cultural exchange aside from coordinating all club activities in China, including the Wolves endeavors in Chinese youth development.
