October 25: The Chinese Super League club, Chongqing Dangdai Lifan, may cooperate with Feyenoord Rotterdam, a Dutch professional football team playing in Eredivisie. The two sides are expected to cooperate in youth training and player exchanges in the future.
On October 24, when the Dutch side paid a visit to the home of Chongqing Lifan, the head coach of Feyenoord Rotterdam Academy, Mike Obiku, held a clinic for Lifan players.
Feyenoord, founded as Wilhelmina in 1908, is one of the most successful clubs in the Netherlands, winning 15 Eredivisie titles, 12 KNVB Cups, and 3 Johan Cruyff Shields. Internationally, it has won one European Cup, two UEFA Cups, and one Intercontinental Cup.
During a sports seminar held Wednesday in Chongqing City, representatives from famous Chinese sports businesses exchanged ideas with executives of more than a dozen Dutch sports companies. The attendees have also been looking for cooperation opportunities.
