The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) has signed a partnership deal with Hebei-based Jinmailang Beverage company, announcing its water brand Jinmailang Liangbaikai (Liangbaikai literally means cooled boiled water) to be the league’s official drinking water sponsor for the next three seasons.
The Jinmailang brand has been an active player in sports marketing, as it was recently a sponsor of the 2017 Xingtai China Green Taihang International Road Cycling Race and the 11th Capital University Alpine Skiing Event.
According to an official statement, the bottled water maker will make efforts to provide quality service for CBA players and fans, as well as inform the public on the importance of boiled water for sports enthusiasts’ health.
Earlier this year, the CBA has also extended partnership deals with the Chinese sportswear brand Li-Ning and the oil and gas corporation ExxonMobil. Additionally, Osports (Beijing) Culture Media has become the league’s exclusive official image partner, while Tag Heuer has returned to become official timekeeper and watch partner for the 2017/18 season.
