Juss Sports has signed a three-year extension with Liberty Media to host a round of the Formula One World Championships in Shanghai, according to a report by China Daily.
According to new reports, the 15th F1 China Grand Prix is expected to be held on April 15, 2018, while the 2018 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix is set to be held on April 8. The date change is awaiting ratification from the FIA World Motor Sport Council.
As Chase Kelly, Chairman and CEO of Liberty Media, said, “We are very pleased to be able to witness the conclusion of the agreement, and the F1 Grand Prix as a fixed round for the F1 World Championships will continue to be held in Shanghai.”
Shanghai has hosted a round of the F1 World Championship since 2004. The extension will see Juss Sports continue to promote the development of the sport in China.
