English Premier League club Huddersfield Town FC announced its partnership with Chinese sports data and service company Leisu Sports on Thursday.
Besides becoming the club’s official Asian Media partner, Leisu Sports will also be responsible for setting up Huddersfield Town’s fan base in the Asia-Pacific region for the upcoming Premier League season, as well as promoting their marketing campaign in China.
“We are delighted to join forces with Leisu Sports and once again grow the Huddersfield Town brand. “Leisu Sports … will play a key role in expanding Huddersfield Town’s reputation in China,” said Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis.
Founded in 1908, the century-old club defeated Reading Football Club 4-3 on a penalty in May, and sealed its promotion to the top flight of English football after 45 years. It is also the first time that the club is inducted by the Premier League.
After the first round of the Premier League 2017-18 season, the club ranked second after Manchester United.
As one of best sports data platforms in China, Leisu Sports covers thousands of leagues and tournaments around the world, providing real time schedules, standings, statistics, live scores and broadcasts. The company has attracted more than one million users in just over one year.
