Tencent Sports capture exclusive business rights of Team China Women's Volleyball

August 6: The Chinese Volleyball Association and the Chinese internet giant Tencent have jointly announced Tencent Sports as the new partner of Team China Women's Volleyball team, while its wholly-owned subsidiary company, Yingde Sports, bagged the exclusive business operation rights of the Olympic champions. 

This partnership between Tencent Sports and Team China Women's Volleyball team extends their commitment to volleyball in China after they had previously signed up with Team China's head coach Lang Ping. According to the agreement, Tencent Sports and Yingde Sports will conduct an overall marketing and business operations campaign for the women's national volleyball team making it the first time the Olympic champions have empowered a third-party organization to operate their business rights. 

This agreement will see Tencent deliver overall information of the volleyball team by leveraging their mobile platforms and terminals, including Tencent Sports, Tencent News, Tencent Video, kb.qq.com and live.qq.com, while also using Chinese social media platforms WeChat and Tencent QQ. 

Alongside Team China Women's Volleyball, Yingde Sports has become the exclusive business operations partner of the Chinese Olympic and World champion swim star Sun Yang and track & field star, Su Bingtian, the first Asian-born sub 10 second 100m athlete. Further, Yingde Sports has also partnered with Lang Ping, China's Olympic long track speed skating champion Zhang Hong, as well as world-famous soccer stars, Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr and Mesut Ozil.
