Natural mineral water brand Alps sign three-year partnership with BWF

League One side Northampton Town announced on June 26 that they had signed a deal with 5USport, a Chinese company based in Guangzhou. 5USport have purchased a majority of the shares in the club, which has been approved by English Football Association.
Following this acquisition, Northampton Town has joined the roster of English clubs controlled by Chinese investors, following West Bromwich Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Reading, Aston Villa and Birmingham City.
Formed in 1897, Northampton Town Football Club is a professional association football club based in the town of Northampton, Northamptonshire, England. The team play in League One, the third tier of English football. In the 1965-66 season, the team reached the old First Division of the English football league for the first and only time. In the 2015-16 season, Northampton Town were promoted to League 1 as champions of League 2.
