On January 11, the representative of the Committee of the World Women’s Curling Championship and Dr. Bai Houzeng, General Manager of Beijing Competitor Sports Science & Tech Co Ltd., signed a title sponsorship agreement at a press conference in Beijing.
The 2017 World Women’s Curling Championship will be held at the Beijing Capital Gymnasium from March 18-26. This is the second time that CPT has cooperated with the sport of curling, by being named the title sponsor of the World Women’s Curling Championship. The first occasion was when it was named the title sponsor of the 2014 World Men’s Curling Championship three years ago. CPT provides professional sports nutritive food, physical training and rehabilitation training techniques for athletes. It also works closely with mass sports and is fully integrated within the rapidly growing Chinese sports ecology.
The 2017 World Women’s Curling Championship is hosted by the World Curling Federation, and organized by the Winter Sports Management Center in the General Administration of Sport and the Beijing Sports Bureau. It is an important training opportunity before the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games and is highly valued by the World Curling Federation and National Curling Associations. There are 12 national teams competing at the top level of womens’ curling. These include Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, Korea, China and more, competing for 3 places at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games.
