The Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG has signed a co-operation agreement with Hamburger SV (HSV), a German sports club based in Hamburg.
Under this long-term co-operation, the two sides will work on various projects to promote the development of soccer youth training. HSV’s Director of Sports Bernhard Peters will bring experience and expertise in the development of young talent and coaching programmes.
"Hamburger SV is a traditional club which has played in one of the strongest leagues in the world for over 50 years. From this rich experience we can benefit in building our young club, "says SIPG President Sui Guoyang.
"China is on the way to develop football professionally, so it is with the Bundesliga and HSV," explains Joachim Hilke, Marketing Executive of Hamburger SV, "Following our first steps towards Asia, it is logical for us to bring our experience to Shanghai."
