Sina Sports announced on Friday, July 10, that they had reached an agreement with New British Sports about the online live streaming rights of Premier League in the 2015-2016 Season. During the next 12 months, Sina Sports will be a major broadcasting platform of Premier League in China.
Wei Jianglei, General Manager of Sina Sports, said that Premier League being one of the most successful soccer leagues in the world had been drawing attentions from people all over the world, and that it would be the most influential soccer league in the future. Wei believed that Sina Sports would always cooperate with Premier League in first time to provide the audiences with professional sports broadcasts.
In addition, Sina Sports might bring another piece of good news to the Premier League fans. It is rumored that Sina Sports would broadcast a total of 260 matches of Premier League free of charge to Chinese audiences in the new season. No matter whether this is true, it is certain that in the second half of 2015, more Chinese soccer fans will have the chance to experience the excitements of Premier League.
